When we contemplate any of José Pablo Arriaga’s pieces, we can’t help but think that, in some way, he is trying to open a crack between our reality and his own personal world.

The works are mostly pure white, overflowing with folds or figures that protrude from the frames. Arriaga seems to want to leave behind a testimony of how various beings attempt to reach the other side of reality, but a fragile white veil prevents them. The futile yet beautiful effort of breaking through is what makes his work unique.
