Arriaga always tackles, through his highly expressive sculptures, concepts that lead the viewer to engage in a broad reflection on the issues presented. He manages to create a thought-provoking discourse without the need to renounce the purest plastic beauty. With works like his latest series “Oheak (beds)”, Arriaga aims to draw attention, through his pieces, to the crisis in access to beds in many hospitals, whether in ancient times in spaces like this old hospital or today in economically disadvantaged areas with poor management of healthcare spaces. – Gabriel Andares REVISTART
